Accessibility at Bryn Elltyd B&B
The Wrysgan Ground Floor Room
Bryn Elltyd Eco Guest House is the original 1883 mine manager's house for the Wrysgan slate quarry. However, it has been sensitively and extensively modified to provide modern, environmentally friendly and accessible accommodation for guests.
The guesthouse has two entrances, one with a single step and the other without any steps.
On the ground floor there are two steps that link a change of ground level but all facilities are available on each floor.
The Wrysgan Room is an en-suite room with a large, walk-in shower room on the ground floor.
A selection of firm and well lit paths provide wheelchair access to the surrounding countryside and mountains.
Our daughter is an occasional wheelchair user and we have many years experience of teaching disabled students so we can offer practical solutions to many of the common problems encountered on holiday. We can also provide extensive knowledge of the local facilites available for wheelchair users or guests with other disabilities.
We have also received disability training and some staff are qualified in Makaton and BSL level 1 sign language (if a little rusty).
For comprehensive access information is available at our Open Britain Guide entry.
